While comforting a distraught young boy whose dog had recently died, Pope Francis was quoted as saying, “One day, we will see our animals again in the eternity of Christ. Paradise is open to all of God’s creatures.” (Source: USA Today).
Although there is a controversy as to what the pontiff actually said, apparently someone else had expressed a similar view.
Interestingly, this is none other than the Catholic Church's historical nemesis, Martin Luther, the guy credited to starting the Protestant Reformation.
For those who for any reason can't view the above image, here's the quote:
Be thou comforted, little dog, Thou too in Resurrection shall have a little golden tail.If you like this quote, please share it with your friends on social media.
- Martin Luther
